Beaches
The beaches of Puerto Morelos are beautiful, wide, and uncrowded. The only problem could be that there is seaweed offshore in some areas.Transportation
You can walk to most places in town.Taxis are located at major hotels and in the main plaza.
There is a bus station along the highway, plus colectivo
vans enroute to Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

A few quiet bars; some offer live music on weekendsand perhaps nightly during winter high-season.

In town there are small hotels and rental homes.Large resorts are located to the north and south of
Puerto Morelos (most are not within walking distance).

You'll find a nice selection of restaurants for such a smalltown. Including fantastic oriental, an excellent dinner club,
and a great bakery for breakfast.

Tours & activities
The main attractions are snorkeling, fishing, and ATV toursinland to the cenotes (pools of crystal clear water fed by
underground springs).

Atmosphere
Extremely laid-back! Most full-time residents are Americansor Canadians with a free-spirit attitude. (We've been told
that Puerto Morelos has the highest number of yoga
practicers per capita).
Most buildings in town are low-rise. Once you get out
of the main plaza, most structures are private homes.
Who visits
It seems to be mostly Americans and Canadians searchingfor a secuded, quiet experience. The average age may be
slightly older than other areas.
