Cancun's average temperatures fluctuate only a few degrees throughout the year.
Moderated in part by the temperature of the ocean. Like most northern hemisphere
locations, Cancun's temperatures are coolest in December, January, and February; warmest in
July and August.
During winter months, Cancun can be affected by artic air. When you hear about those
"Artic Express" cold fronts causing a frost in Florida, the people of Cancun could also be feeling temperatures a few degrees below normal, with a cool wind coming
out of the north. These are
rare, and never so cold that you can't enjoy the beach, but at night it can get a little chilly.
Which reminds me. Pack a sweatshirt or
light sweater when traveling during winter months,
even on hot days it can feel a little chilly at night near the ocean.
